I absolutely love the look of chevron crochet baby blankets and they’re so versatile when it comes to chosen color combinations. They work great for baby boys and baby girls.
In today’s post I wanted to share this pattern that I wrote and have been enjoying working on for a few weeks now (it really shouldn’t take that long to make if you have more time to work on it 😉 )
I wanted to come up with something a little more ornate than the traditional chevron blankets so I came up with this striped chevron design.
Not only is it striped in color but even the chevron design has some textured stripes in it.
For this blanket, I chose three different colors: white, gray, and mint green. These are very gender-neutral but the gray gives it more of a non-traditional neutral tone for babies.
Also, my favorite yarn to use for baby booties and blankets is Caron’s Simply Soft yarn.
Caron Simply Soft yarn is one of the most popular, versatile worsted weight yarns. Incredibly soft to the touch, this yarn is perfect for a variety of projects from baby to fashion to home décor.
Also, it’s made from high quality, 100% Super-Soft No-Dye-Lot Acrylic fiber machine washable.
Caron Simply Soft certainly isn’t the only kind of baby yarn you could use. You just want to find something that is soft for babies and that is likely going to depend on what your budget is for yarn.
Be sure to share your favorite yarn for crochet baby blankets in the comments!
